Clinical and Analytical Hypnotherapy in North Wales

Panacea Hypnotherapy Clinic is run by profession hypnotherapist, John Garbutt. He studied hypnotherapy and hypnoanalysis with the Hypnotherapy Control Board, the largest hypnotherapy training school in Europe, and has completed advanced training in both Medical Hypnotherapy (Hypno-anaesthesiology) and Sports Enhancement as well Sexual Abuse and Sexual Offending. John is a member of the International Association of Pure Hypnoanalysts. He also has a Certificate in Depression Management and has completed postgraduate studies in Psychology at the University of Sheffield. 

 

John is currently continuing studies in psychology and working towards gaining status as a Chartered Member of  the British Psychological Society.

Since 1999  he has also provided  music and auditory integration therapies through Panacea Music Company.

 

 

He has  completed the HypnoBirthing® certification course at Stirling Royal Infimary. HypnoBirthing classes will be starting shortly.

Two kinds of hypnotherapy are provided  at the Panacea Hypnotherapy Clinic

 

This type of hypnotherapy uses a combination of hypnosis, visualisation and positive hypnotic suggestion to treat so-called minor conditions such as stopping smoking, fear of flying, exam nerves etc.

The 'blowaway' hypnotherapy technique designed for children is also a type of suggestion therapy and again consists of a single relaxing session.

Hypno-analysis is a special type of hypnotherapy for treating emotional, anxious and nervous disorders. This type of hypnotherapy uses free association to eventually resolve the 'bottled up' emotions or anxious feelings that are the root cause of the problem or symptom.

Most therapies don't deal with the root cause of the problem, just the symptoms.

By far the quickest,  simplest and most effective way of dealing with anxiety-related problems is  to go back to the main emotional conflict (almost always from childhood), and bring those emotions up in a very safe, non-judgmental, comfortable and supportive atmosphere. There is no 'short cut', doing this gently and safely takes a few sessions but analytical hypnotherapy is liberating, enlightening and can change your life!
